How to Register as a Branch Secretary or Events Co-ordinator on wbka.uk and Create/Edit Events

Registration

1. Open your browser and go to www.wbka.uk.
2. Click Sign in in the top-right corner of the page.
   • If you are already signed in, you will see a person-with-tick icon instead of the words Sign in.
3. On the Sign-in page, click the WBKA logo on the left to register and use the website.
4. You will need your BBKA membership number to register.
5. The information at the bottom of the form is optional.
   • You may wish to complete it if you plan to sell equipment or advertise honey for sale on the BBKA website.
6. Select the branch of Worcestershire Beekeepers you are associated with.
7. Please note: the form expires after one hour, so complete it promptly or it will not register.
8. The website will send you an email to confirm your email address.
   • This email contains a key to activate your account.
9. Once registration is complete, email admin@wbka.uk to confirm you have registered.
   • Your account permissions will then be increased so you can create and edit Events for your branch.
   • Your menu options will expand. You can return to the main menu at any time by clicking the WBKA logo at the top of the screen.

Creating and Editing Events

1. Select Event Manager from the menu.
2. At the top of the page are quick action buttons.
3. Below these is a list of past Events.
   • You can sort or search the columns as required.
4. In the right-hand column are additional quick action buttons:
   • Edit
   • View
   • Publish
     (Unpublished events cannot be viewed by the public.)
5. Events cannot be deleted until they are seven years old.
   • At that point, a trash can icon will appear.
   • This is because the Inspire button allows you to view events held by other branches in the past for ideas.

Venue Manager

• You also have access to Venue Manager from the main menu.
• Its layout and functionality are similar to Event Manager.
• Most venues across Worcestershire are already listed, so please search thoroughly before creating a new venue.
